about Amanda

Amanda McCammon Winters is a lifelong photographer. Her parents constantly reminded her that she was taking too many pictures and wasting film. Amanda loved taking pictures and recollects, "I loved taking pictures and couldn't wait for them to be printed so I could see my work."

Amanda continued her passion for photography later in life. She discovered for herself the energy that fills the classrooms, labs and studios at photography school by spending two years in professional training at, Southeast Center for Photographic Studies. Her favorite time spent there was in the dark room, where she could actually develop her film and control the process of printing her own photography.

While Amanda was attending the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies, she baked cakes for local restaurants, to make enough money for film and processing. The cake business became very popular and Amanda opened a retail bakery named Ballard & Corum Bakery in Winter Park, Florida. After running the bakery for five years, Amanda sold it to focus on photography.

Amanda Winters loves to photograph couples, families, children and babies. Whether shes capturing new love in an engagement session, the look the new bride hopes to see on her grooms face, or, the wonderful innocence of mother and child. A relationship is captured in her photograph at that instant and forever.
